Leading Surrey Dentist Offers Minimally Invasive Implants to Anchor Dentures

With one in four people in the UK wearing dentures, the Denture Clinic offers the opportunity of a new and minimally invasive dental treatment to denture-wearers. At a fraction of the cost of traditional implants, a 'snap on' option is now available to secure lower dentures which are notoriously badly fitting. The clinic's principal, Surrey-based Dr. Justin Stewart, is renowned for helping patients from around the UK who are denture wearers but who have never been comfortable with how their dentures fit.

With this innovative option, miniature titanium implants, or 'mini-implants', take the place of the root of the natural tooth. The implants are placed into the jawbone under a local anaesthetic, with the ball of the implant protruding from the lower gum tissue, to enable the lower denture to 'snap' into place giving 100% confidence of a perfect fit to the wearer.

Dr Stewart, who is a member of the American Prosthodontic Society and the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry, says; "As we age, bone height is lost, and therefore it has historically been very difficult to secure lower dentures. Mini dental implants take the place of the tooth's root allowing the denture to snap into place when seated on the gum tissue, giving the patient full security that the denture will not shift, or tilt or wander".

Dr Stewart continued;
"The mini dental implants take about an hour and a half to place and fit. Patient satisfaction is extremely high because they provide permanent dental stability for those who suffer difficulties with their lower dentures, without the painful invasive surgery of traditional implant and at a fraction of the cost".

Retired Hospital Administrator 63 year old Gillian Richardson, based in Chipstead, Surrey, has been wearing dentures for over three decades, and having read about Dr Stewart's reputation for solving denture problems, she booked an appointment at the clinic. She said; "I have worn a full set of top dentures and a partial lower denture for many years. Over the years my gums had receded and my lower dentures in particular were very loose fitting and were becoming a constant source of embarrassment, especially when eating".

Gillian continued;
"After years of discomfort, I am thoroughly thrilled with the results - I can now enjoy my food without any discomfort or embarrassment and even enjoy eating apples. In fact, they feel just like my natural teeth!".

The Clinic offers a free consultation to all patients.
